Diana Dearen is a Santa Fe, NM artist, photographer and silver smith. She paints and photographs the world the way she sees it, brilliant, bold and sometimes ethereal. Her jewelry designs and use of material is unique and beautiful, and is not afraid to venture into different territory; not staying with traditional styles and materials. She has taught college art near Santa Fe and in Hawaii and worked as the arts editor for a regional newspaper near Santa Fe. Although she grew up in the southeastern part of the country with an artist father, New Mexico has remained her home for more than fifteen years, except for a year in Hawaii. She has majored in art and arts history, especially Native American arts history for five years. Diana has won awards in most all her mediums of work and has exhibited throughout the west and Hawaii, as well as many art galleries. She welcomes any questions and comments on her work and will consider taking consignments and custom orders. Her joy in her work is maximized by any positive affect it has on the viewer.
